About

Welcome to The HUB, the student news site of Hubbard High School in Hubbard, Ohio.  This news site has been active as of November 2011.  Our goal is to improve the site, build readership, and compete in the National Scholastic Press Convention Awards and in local competitions as well, such as Youngstown State University’s Press Day.

The site is maintained by The Hub staff and its adviser, M. Lisa Shattuck/English.  Please visit the staff profiles which can be accessed through the toolbar on the Home page.  The site is updated weekly, and there are plans to distribute a print edition at least once a year.  We welcome student ideas for articles, features and reviews. Please contact a staff member or the adviser with input.  Students are encouraged to comment on particular stories providing those comments follow the listed policy below.

Comments: The HUB intends for this area to be used to encourage healthy, thought-provoking discussion. Comments are expected to adhere to school standards and to be respectful and constructive. As such, we do not permit the use of profanity, foul language, personal attacks, or the use of language that might be interpreted as libelous.
