Broken Bliss

January 3, 2016
I do believe in soul mates. I believe in stomachs beating to the rhythm of butterflies and rosy cheeks.
Do not mark me ignorant.
I believe we come across many pieces of our soul. This doesn’t mean we will hold them tight forever.
Our grips will tire and they will drift away.
I do believe in soul mates. I believe in warm, knotted hands.
Don’t chuckle at my innocence.
I believe the full potential of love is so strong that it must be minimized to a period of time.
I believe our souls are scattered across this world like stars and although we might collide in a
Moment’s time, the end result is explosive and broken.
But wasn’t it beautiful while it lasted?
I do believe in soul mates. I believe in feeling completed and connected.
And I do believe in goodbyes.
I believe our souls are fractured.
I believe a broken mirror can never truly be mended but I can still see my reflection in every shard.
