The saying, “Defense wins games” went as follows for Struthers Friday night against the Hubbard Eagles, after winning 45-23.  The loss drops Hubbard to (1-4), however they are still (1-1) in the All American Conference White Tier, and come playoff time, that is what matters.  There isn’t much to write about for games like this as Hubbard scored single-digits in every quarter.  An offensive performance that needs to be corrected for the upcoming games.  Credit can go to Struthers and their tight defense, especially in the interior, but the Eagles had shots that didn’t fall.  Larry Minotti led the Eagles with 8 points.
