Eloy Kim: Editor-in-Chief

  • Eloy Kim is a rising senior entering his third year as a member of the HUB and first year as the editor-in-chief. Eloy’s love for writing and investigative research led him to join the HUB, and he is excited to bring his talents alive on paper. He hopes to contribute to his high school by informing and captivating the Hubbard student body through his reporting on underdeveloped or speculative topics and intriguing events.

  • Eloy is involved in multiple student clubs, including Speech and Debate, NHS, and Link Crew. Eloy also earned varsity honors in both soccer and track, and he plans on returning to both sports this year. Outside of school, Eloy founded an online language exchange program, FLUENTIALIST, which focuses on Korean, Spanish, and English speakers seeking to improve their conversing skills in their second language. Other than his love for writing, Eloy also enjoys playing the violin. He is currently first violinist for the Youngstown Symphony Youth Orchestra, and he also plays weekly for his church. 

  • Eloy has high hopes and ambitions entering his senior year. Other than achieving high scores in school and college entrance exams, he plans to cement his plans for his college and future career. He also hopes to take his debate skills internationally as he is currently seeking acceptance into the USA National Debate Team. Ultimately, Eloy strives to better his leadership and communication skills, two skills he believes are essential to a fulfilling life. Hope you enjoy reading his articles.
