The Hub

Eloy Kim: Sophomore Staff Writer

  • Eloy Kim is entering his sophomore year at Hubbard High School and is a first-year staff member of the HUB. Under the guidance of experienced HUB members and editors, Eloy is excited to take his writing skills to new levels. His love for writing led him to join the HUB, and he is eager to bring his talents alive on paper. Eloy hopes to contribute to his high school by informing and captivating the Hubbard student body on several intriguing topics.

  • Eloy Kim is an active volunteer of Rotary Interact. He is also a member of the Spanish and Ecology Clubs, as well as the Academic Team. From playing table tennis to swinging a golf club, Eloy has a broad range of athletic talents. This year, Eloy set his focus on two sports: being a first-year letterman, Eloy will be returning to the running lanes as he seeks to make state as a sprinter on the track team. He will also return as a member of the HHS soccer team. Other than his love for writing, Eloy also enjoys playing the violin. He is currently a first violinist for the Youngstown Youth Symphony Orchestra. He also plays weekly on Sundays for his church.

  • Eloy Kim hopes to maintain his 4.0 GPA as well as his involvement in all honors classes. Beyond high school, Eloy hopes to get into his dream college, Vanderbilt University. Still undecided about his career, Eloy is strongly considering a teaching job in either secondary or postsecondary education.
