Hailey Capobianco, Senior Creative Writer

  • Hailey Capobianco is a senior fiction writer here at HHS.   She has attended Hubbard schools since 7th grade, gone for 5th and 6th, but here earlier.    She moved from Madison, Oh to Hubbard the summer before 3rd grade, and then from West Middlesex the summer before 7th.  Hailey traveled with and has been raised by her mother, Gina Capobianco.  This experience moving in and out of the area has given her a fresh perspective on the people and the life in Hubbard, she believes.
  • Hailey is currently enrolled in Anatomy, CCP French, CCP Chemistry, and Honors English.  She has taken Honors English all four years of high school.  Even being crowned the Comma Splice Queen didn't stop her passion for writing.  Hailey was enrolled in Dystopian Novels last year, where Mrs. Shattuck noticed her talent for writing in a bonus activity.  She is attracted to the dystopian theme, and some of her best stories incorporate that genre.  Last year, Hailey was a fiction winner at TCJA/YSU Press Day for one of her dystopian works.
  • In the future Hailey plans on becoming a Forensic Pathologist.  A Forensic Pathologist performs  autopsies, bloodwork, and much more.  She discovered what she wanted to do her freshman year, watching shows like Bones, Crossing Jordan, and NCIS.  Hailey has applied to NEOMED, Cornell, University at Albany, and Ohio State University.
