“Divine” Visitations

Divine Visitations

Jessica Roller, Jr. Staff Writer

Students in College Prep and Honors freshmen English classes took on the roles of divine deities in class presentations this winter.  In this creative project, students were instructed to pick the god or goddess of their choice, dress the part, and do a two-four minute presenation in first person as that Greek god or goddess.

Some of the mythological characters presented were Zeus and Hera, King and Queen of the Olympians; Cerberus, the three-headed guardian of the Underworld; and Hades and Pluto, Zeus’ brothers who helped him control the sea and the Underworld, just to name a few.  Needless to say, classmates were entertained by the freshmen productions, and a “divine” time was had by all.  Good job Frosh!
